About me
I'm an Associate Professor of Spanish Linguistics in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Marquette University. As a sociolinguist, my research explores the linguistic and social factors that govern language variation, the social meaning attached to different language variants, and the role of linguistic variation in identity construction.

I did my BA at the University of Oviedo (Spain) and my MA at Miami University (Ohio). My Ph.D. is from The Ohio State University.

At Marquette University I teach courses on Spanish, Spanish linguistics and sociolinguistics.
